Heres a blurb on the APS show ending today in Charleston South Carolina...the wife and I attended the show all day Friday and half a day Saturday ...we had a very good time...we met Larry Haber from the SCF who is a resident of Charleston..the show seemed pretty well attended..but there were no children at the youth section which was disappointing...Charleston seemed a strange place for an APS show since its a stamp collector wasteland... a city that size without a stamp club ???? So today friends took us to the park at Stone Mountain Georgia...tomorrow golf ..regards to all..philb

I was back at the show on Sunday morning before a flight up to LGA and I stopped by and chatted with Ken Martin, the Executive Director of the APS. I shared with him my embarrassment that CHS doesn't have a stamp club. He said that he'd be happy to get me an email list of local CHS APS members. Maybe we can get something going. But, lacking a local real presense, it also brings home the value of virtual clubs such as this one. Which has been a huge help to me and, I am sure, to others.

I would also be remiss if I didn't say it was great that I had a chance to meet and chat with Phil. I was great to pierce the virtual barrier and speak with the real article. And, to meet his charming wife.

Best,

Larry
