Musician and guitar, an airmail stamp designed after a poster created by Constantin, printed by photogravure, and issued for use in French Polynesia on July 9, 1969 to publicize the Pacific Area Travel Association (PATA) Congress, held in Tahiti, Scott No. C51.

Cobza is a multi-stringed instrument of the lute family of folk origin popular in Romanian, Moldovan and Hungarian folk music.

Here are images of the four engraved stamps in a set depicting musicians playing traditional Vietnamese musical instruments, and issued by (South) Vietnam in 1966, Scott Nos. 287-90.

Woman playing a dan tranh, a plucked zither, similar to the Chinese guzheng and the Japanese koto.


Group of musicians, including players of a dan nguyet ("moon lute") and a dan tranh.
