Here is an image of a stamp depicting the organ in the Golden Hall of the Vienna Music Academy, designed by Otto Stefferl (1931- ), combined engraved by Werner Pfeiler (1941- ) and photogravure, and issued by Austria on June 5, 1970 to commemorate the centenary of the Academy Building, Scott No. 864, plus a photo of the Golden Hall during a performance by the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra of Moscow.

Lutherie is the craft of making wooden, stringed, musical instruments, including guitars, lutes, mandolins and violins. Here is an image of a stamp depicting violins, designed by Maurice Pouzet (1921-1997), engraved by Claude Haley (1923-1988), and issued by France on December 10, 1979 to commemorate La Lutherie, Scott No. 1682, Y&T No. 2072.

Here is an image of a stamp depicting a hurdy-gurdy man and a crowd, designed by Antonia Graschberger in part after a painting by German artist Ludwig Knaus (1829-1910), printed by lithography, and issued by Germany (Berlin) on May 3, 1990 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the barrel organ, Scott No. 9N589, Michel No. 872, plus an image of Ludwig Knaus's original work of art.

Nyckelharpa (key harp) is a traditional Swedish string instrument. It is similar in appearance to a fiddle or the big Sorb geige or viol. Structurally, it is more closely related to the hurdy-gurdy, both employing key-actuated tangents to change the pitch.
