Once again...is this a stamp or not?? It was stamped on an envelope. It's another " inherited" piece, so sorry it's in rough shape. Looks like my grandfather saved everything(and I am glad he did)!

Please, doesn't anyone have an idea on this one??? Is this just a cancel without the stamp under it?

Thanks

Rockin I'll take a stab at it. Now mind you I am going by what I see here. But it looks to me like it's a cancel of some sort on the back of the cover. It appears to me that it is placed on the flap where it seals because I see what appears to be the top flap and then a fainter edge line under that. Turn it over and see how many pieces of paper make it up because it also appears to have been cut off the cover if there 4 pieces of paper then it was on the back where all the flaps come together. I hope this helps out.

It looks like you are probably absolutely correct, Cimmaron. It looks like the back flap from a cover. So why was it saved and do I need to toss it out?
Thanks for your input!

I would save it if it was me. It is a very nice cancel. If you do not collect cancels as a topic it would always be a good addition to a misc. topic.

I just checked and I only have a few Nicaragua stamps, so since I have well over 100 countries and commonwealths, these are probably going to go to someone else. I need to get down to a few countries.

I understand your delima. I'm up to close to 200 countries and I can't seem to let any of them go

OK, here's a few. I know some of these are probably easy, but I'm just an amateur WW collector and I don't even have a full set of Scott cat's.
