Jhlovell, You could try putting together a stamp calander, like I did here...
https://goscf.com/t/6109&SearchTerm...een,victoria

This is done with all QV stamps and as you can see I'm still missing some. If you can fill any holes for me I would be most appreciative.

Old Chinese saying....

There is no such thing as too many stamps,
just not enough space.

Uhm...Translate german to hungarian, hungarian to english (and my mother tongue isn`t indo-european)...but let`s give a try. Germany (Deutsches Reich) issued bw. 1899-1900. The 10 pf. value 11 nuances (colour). `Plattenfehle` would be faults of the plate. First we have to take a look at the `T` in `Reichspost`
- I. still working on it-here`s in German T mit Querbalken.
- II.in the middle the `T` it`s open
The `PF` down on the right side:
- III. The `P` is shorter (`kurzem Fuss`-ich meine scharfes S:))
...
- VI. a white diagonal scratch trough the lower frames which enters the `F` from `PF`.
-VII.`O` in `Reichspost` broken.
-VII. already mentioned (shorter 1-in the upper part)
IV & V still to come...

Jeff.....shouldn't be too difficult to get rid of. You have been auctioning lots here so just close your eyes and list up !

You admitted you already suffer from 'Philatelitis' so that automatically puts you in the Bonkers section.

Sorry, there is no hope.

Londonbus1.....as barmy as they come !

Here is what you do with those 1p QV's JH. Separate the ones with 14 dots in each angle, put them in an envelope and mail them to me. :)

the 1881 1p, there are two types.

Type 1: on both upper corners there are 14 dots on each side
......
.
.

like above
the other type has 16 dots on each angle.

the 14 dot variety is worth 32.50 used, the 16 dot variety is $2.00

Hey guys

Here is my take on this.

Though my collection is fairly junvenile still, I have many duplicates alwready.

When I set out on this journey known as stamp collecting, I did it with the intention of it being as a hobby. Therefore I had no intention of searching for varieties, plate numbers etc. I simply print out my albums and fill the holes with stamps I can afford.

I have kept to this practice and plan to continue doing so. If I happen to send something of worth, well good on them. If would not expect compensation though a gift of a few of their spares would be greatly appreciated.

Just saying

Dianne

I have decided that I do specialize. It is in the category of "Hodge Podge"
