Yes, as much as I love polar bears, I wouldn't want to meet one without some protective barrier like the picture I posted above

This one has to be one of the absolutely strangest depictions of a Polar Bear that I have run across. Whether it is wagging its tail (can Polar Bears wag their tail?) at the prospect of being presented with a bouquet or at the sight of a free lunch delivering itself on two feet is a moot point.

backroads - Perhaps the designer of your implausible stamp has seen one politically-correct cartoon movie too many?

Here are images of four slightly more realistic polar bear definitive stamps designed by Danish artist Viggo Bang, engraved by Czeslaw Slania, and issued by Greenland on September 17, 1963, Scott Nos. 62-65, Facit Nos. 58-61.

Polar bear and cub, designed by Russian artist and illustrator Vladimir Dmitrievich Kolganov (1923- ), combined photogravure and engraved, and issued by Russia (USSR) on December 16, 1977, Scott No. 4631, Zagorski No. 4733.
