I rather thought there were getting to be too many which is why I have stopped! Most of my singles and smaller items are stored in stockbooks or FDC albums arranged roughly by category although for the larger sheets (as well as full sheets of - dare I say it? - 'proper' stamps') I use artist's portfolios, in A3 and A2 sizes.

My personal main interest is in issues of the George VI period and I have several hundreds of these from 'classic' celebratory issues to some more esoteric items. In general, there seems to be an infinite variety for all sorts of purposes, from practical to whimsy, from the mass produced to the tiny private issues from individuals. There is always something new to find! Chris Wren

The Marianne labels (french) are wonderful on the artistic point of view.

They are indeed, and, issued in 1949, older than I had supposed. Also, thank you all for the information on the other items. Chris Wren

The ones that you quote as "Mexico" are actually from Spanish Cuba issued by 1888.

the dog and gramaphone were the logo of The Gramaphone Co., adopted in 1899
See this wiki article.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/His_Master%27s_Voice

The picture was painted by Frances Barraud, and was commonly referred to as Nipper or The Dog. The catch line was "His Masters Voice"
It is associated with HMV, RCA and EMI, depending on where you are.
Very nice.
