I agree with you Nells, cars are a nice topic.

This Canadian sheet although not strictly cars does portray
some good ones.

On this sheet the 45c stamp on the bottom shows the Bricklin SV-1
of which only 2,800 were built.

I wonder how many people nowadays even know that there
was a car company called American Motors Corporation or heard of
an Omni or Rambler.

I remember driving a mid sixties Rambler which had push button
transmission which I thought weird at the time.

Quote:
the Bricklin SV-1

This car came out just before I got my driver's license (1975, I believe). Nevertheless, I retrieved a brochure from a local dealership on the car and I still remember to this day the clever marketing description of the interior (paraphrased):

No options to choose from. Everything comes standard. That is "everything except a cigarette lighter, because we don't feel smoking while driving is safe and we don't want you dropping a lit cigarette on your lap and driving our beautiful car up a tree!"

HAHA! Don't quote me, but I think they are starting to not include the lighters in new cars. They call them "power points" instead...

Don't forget the '57 Chevy. I actually tore up a Celebrate the Century sheet just to keep this particular stamp (used the rest for postage):
