Adam Opel (1837 - 1895) was a German entrepreneur best known as the founder of Adam Opel AG, which initially specialized in the production of bicycles and sewing machines. Following Adam Opel's death in 1895, his widow Sophie and their sons redirected the company's focus toward automobile production. In 1899, Opel introduced its first car, the Patent-Motorwagen System Lutzmann. |

That is not just any vintage car, but the 1961 Devrim, presumably the last one still around, as only 4 were made. It is far more historically important as it was the first car ever designed and built in Turkey. |
