Mothers day poster stamps from South Africa. Stamps are 2.125 (54mm)x 2.5 (62mm). Imprinted "MOTHER'S DAY ASSOCN" "BOX 6476 JHBURG". Anyone see anything like these before?


May 10 (1953 or 1959?)


May 8 (1955?)


May 13 (1956?)

lovely labels, I have similar era, but political labels from RSA.

Oh yes, I see images like these every day as I look in the mirror, always looking my best, smiling angelically, and surrounded by happy, well-behaved, adoring children. Aren't all we mothers the same??

Still nice labels and I like the ones that are roulette, they make a difference ususally giving a smoother appearance.

My Epson Perfection did exactly the same thing Russ,
at around 100,000 scans IIRC
I thought it may be the tractor feed and messed around with it for weeks,
It ended up in landfill I think.
When we moved to Thailand, we left amongst other things 3 TV's
to charity, because of govt regulations with electrical
gear, the charities would not accept, and they also went to landfill.
I asked for a plastics bin, and was refused, in it went with
everything else. :(
