I read recently that a philatelic item old for a large sum because it was the only known block of 4 of that stamp.

I'm not sure how anyone would be in a position to know, but I wonder if this is the only known block of 3 for this stamp (Italy 1877).

Used CV for this stamp is 2,80 €. What do people think I should list a B3 for?

A block of 3 would be classified and one pair and one single. Odd numbered blocks could easily be created by simply removing a single stamp from any blocks of 4, 6, 8, etc., so they are not valued in Scott catalogues.

Rileysan, this in on cover, so the fourth stamp could not have been removed!

Of course, this is a special situation.

As much as I'd like to make your day, it's still classified as a pair and one single. Sorry :(
