The next Dutch Cinderella was issued to celebrate 25 years of television broadcasting in the Netherlands. The first television broadcast in the Netherlands was on 2 octobre 1951

My third Cinderealla was issued in 1973 in celebration of Alkmaar 400 years city of Victory , referring to the turning point in the 80-years war against the spaniards. It was the first Dutch city to be taken aback from the Spanish. The spanish army that was besieging Alkmaar was led by Don Frederik who was the son of Fernando Álvarez de Toledo (the Iron Duke)
Alkmaar was under siege from 21 august to 8 october 1573 the spanish gave up when Willem of Orange gave orders to break the dykes around Alkmaar. Since then we have a saying here in the Netherlands : "Victory starts at Alkmaar" (Alcmaria Victrix in latin on the stamps)
