Here is a Dutch set from the Union of parents of Spastic children. It is from the fifties/sixties and with this set they are asking for donations so there children can also take part in society By getting an education, possibilities to play/be outside or simply recieve help. Kind regards, Johan

Found another one this one is from 1914. Designed by Willy Sluiter for the Nationaal Steun Comite. An organisation founded in 1914 to help with all kind of problems the people of the Netherlands were facing due to the effects of the First World War.(of course the problems in the surrounding countries were a lot bigger) It is lithography(can be seen clearly on the dress)It is in a good conditon, only 1 scuff mark on the left frameline and it is pretty big: 8 x 6 cm. I have not yet found a second example.

I remember when I was a kid (I'm 58!)in Barcelona (Catalonia) you saw some spastics children around.
Hapily, thanks to the medicine progress, you don't see these poor crippled children anymore, at least in Western Europe.

As for the 1914 cinderella, I love these early XXth century items. I've some of them posted on my Barcelona & Catalonia cinderellas thread.

Hello everyone, I picked up some new Cinderellas in the last couple of weeks. I'm sure someone has posted the Omaha one before. The APA Tacoma convention is new to me. I could not find any reference to it. The stamp collecting labels are interesting, and I'm sure there are more of these around.

Yes, the first has been shown before in the Philatelic Exhibition thread I believe. It comes in 4 colours, lovely design.
The Tacoma item is the only souvenir issued by the American Stamp Association under that name. I do not know if they changed their name at some later date or merged with another organization. The sheet was a bit early for the Stamp Centenary year and is not listed in the 'Sapere Aude' list of 1940 Commemorative items. I am just curious about the number 2 [and logo] at the bottom. Is this stamped onto the sheet ? Can you take a close-up of it ?
The last 2 are advertising labels from the Tatham Stamp & Coin Company of Springfield, Mass.

Example from the Old Breda(Netherlands) 1910 exhibition. To commemorate the capture of Breda in 1590 and also live in general in the 16th and 17th century. Cinderella on postcard, used during the exhibition period. Shown is Prins Maurits who was in command of the troops in 1590. The cancellation on the cinderella is not official but exhibition related it says: Old Breda and Bonus Eventus(Good comings)i have not seen a second example single or on postcard, so I do not know of other designs and/or colors exist. the Isle of Pabay looked pretty barren.

This is referred to as a "selection stamp" (circa 1960's 1970's ?)
It came in page of say 100 stamps all differing,
To order the book, you removed the stamp, and stuck it on the order tab
and sent back the order by mail.

"Selection Stamps"
from the man whom coined the word.
