Let's See Your Cinderellas!

Having spent a decade in the Bay area I'm always on the lookout for northern CA items. Last week I was happy to pick this item out of a collection I bought. I don't know how valuable it is but I found this on the web:

this copy is unused with gum but thinned at the top. I also have a used copy with a 1906 Chicago postmark. Unfortunately that one has a missing corner.

Here's a 1938 Estonia anti-tuberculosis label, which is fixed to the back of a letter from Paide to Sydney in Australia. I'm on the lookout for any more Estonia cinderellas on cover, which is proving a pretty fruitless task at the moment.

HI Tim. I've some Estonian cinderellas on cover. But, they're modern ones (fronm late 80's or early 90's). I don't think is what you're looking for. But, anyway, here's a sample.

Here are some older Estonian cinderellas from the various Naeitus Exhibitions of the 1920's and 30's.

Thanks Cursus. I collect pre-1945 but any Estonian cinderellas are of interest, especially those from the USSR era. It's interesting that President Päts was effectively killed off in an asylum by the Soviets but here he is being commemorated by the same regime. Politics never ceases to amaze me.

Tim, this cinderella was not issued by the Soviet regime but for Estonian Society for the Preservation of Historical Memory ,that issued many cinderellas on the late 80's and early 90's. The cover is not Soviet stationery, but very likely printed by the same society.

It went through the post, perhaps, with the complicity of fellow Estonians and Lithuanians working for the PO. Tipping is always a help. Not all countries work like the democràtic UK. On "grey times" and not so democràtic countries strange things happen...

Do the 1914 Semerang Colonial Exposition label stamps have any catalogue value?

Unlike postage stamps and revenue stamps, cinderellas are seldom priced...even in the rare instances where someone has cataloged them.

Prices and values are determined by the demand by collectors. Usually, older material (including colonial topic) are more sought after than newer stuff.

Those are very attractive. I imagine someone would be willing to pay something for them!

You only have to look for "poster stamps" on e-bay and you'll see that, so called, "cinderellas", comand higher prices than most stamps. And, truly, they're more interesting than those philatelist-labels, printed just for collectors.
There are,actually, catalogs. But, without prices.

The colonial 1914 Semarang cinderellas come I a lot of colors at lest 13 that I know of.

Here in the Netherlands they are sometimes on offer, mostly singles and the are most of the time araoud 2/3 euros each. I personally consider this price to be fair.

Of course outside the Netherlands they can be more difficult to get, so prices might be a bit higher.

This last, IMO, it's not always true: outside the Netherlands there's less offer of this material, but also less knowledge and interest. Hence, you can find them cheaper.
Sometimes, I've found Catalan cinderellas, at a better prices outside our country. It's just a question of the shipment expenses!
