These Polish cinderellas celebrate the beatification of Italian priest, writer and educator Giovanni Bosco, known to English speakers as John, or Don Bosco. Bosco was beatified on 2 June 1929, as shown on the stamp, and canonized as a saint by Pope Pius XI in 1934. The labels were printed in Rome, apparently by offset. They are both cancelled "LUBLIN 1 15.1.30".  |

This cinderella celebrates the 25th anniversary of Banco Industria e Comercio de Santa Catarina, Brazil. Although it looks as if it might be an offset, or photogravure-printed label, it is actually a photographic print, done on heavy paper. The bank had a 33 year history, until it was acquired in 1968 by Banco Brasileiro de Discuento, based in Sao Paolo.  |

I liked this 1998 cinderella issue featuring the South Cross and celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Trans Tasman crossing between Australia and New Zealand. A nice sheetlet to have in my aviation collection. Pilot, Sir Charles Kingsford Smith and crew of the 'Southern Cross', a Fokker F. VII Trimotor aircraft, covered 2670 km in 14 hours 25 minutes.  |
