Anyone have any experience with this "scratch and dent" offer for Amos Advantage members? Sounds like a good deal at $20 each ($120 for the set of 6) but I'm a bit skeptical, especially since there is no return policy and no telling how severe the "scratch and dent" catalogs might be.

No telling what you might get based on just one person's order...

I bought a set and they were far from damaged. A ding here, a scratch there, a slight bend in the cover. Only one was really bent where the corner of the cover was folded over about an inch deep along with the first 20-30 pages. I imagine they'd have trouble selling these at the prices they're asking with any dings or dents at all, but I'd have trouble noticing any trouble at a quick glance with 5 of the 6 volumes.

How could you lose ? didn't Scott increase the 2012 set by 25% ? I didn't see, but how much is shipping ? Unless they have ripped out pages I'd think it's a good deal as the pages will get bent soon enough.

Daryl I am still working the 2008's I picked up for $175 a year old...i will pick up probably 2 of the 2011's when they get in the 20 dollar each but I don't see the need for a complete set..most of my collection value is in the A&B and the G to I catalogs !!

I have the 2009's and will most likely sell them as a set for $10.00 each.. I'll put them on bidstart if no one wants them.

I would be tempted stampvirgin. However, I wish you were a Canadian source because the postage rates would be way too much from the
US to Canada?

I don't collect 2010+ stamps yet anyway. And that #2 looks better and better.

I thought I posted a thread about this yesterday, but don't see it now. I ordered my set on Wed 3/30 and will post pics of the condition of the set when I receive it. Also if you go to the amos website and it shows the set out of stock check back. I thought I had missed out on the opportunity to buy but checked back a couple days later on a lark and they had a set available.

Not sure where I posted this, but the website messed up my order with an error message three times. I thought it would never go through and ordered a 2009 set off Amazon piece-meal. But one of them did go through. So now I have two sets: 2009 and 2011. Be careful if the order fails for any reason.

I have to thank you Siburning I read that post and that's what made me decide to go back to the Amos website after they were out of stock a few days before.
