Today is International Rabbit Day, created to promote the protection and care of rabbits both domestic and wild, and celebrated annually on the fourth Saturday or Sunday of September. Here is an image of a stamp depicting a bunny and some Chinese calligraphy, designed by Zhongyao Li, printed by photogravure, and issued by France on January 14, 2011 to commemorate the Year of the Rabbit, Scott No. 3930, Y&T No. 4531. - nethryk  |

Finland March 4, 1997 Mountain Hare ( Lepus timidus) The mountain hare, the shorterhaired of the two Finnish hares, is common all over the country.
