In January 2007 we were on a Carnival cruise out of Tampa and I was fortunate to take a day trip to the Mayan ruins in Tulum Mexico..they had the ruins taped off so you could not climb them etc, but the Mayans had an amazing knowledge of Mathematics and Astrology and they did not have Google like Bobgggg !!

Phil, I've been to Tulum also. It's an amazing place to visit. My wife and I also when to Chichen Itza (Chicken Pizza) and it's also beautiful. It's hard to understand how they, and the Egyptians, built their cities without the help of aliens!

Nice issues! Just a little history lesson from a quick study of Belize for my new collection: Belize was called British Honduras up until 1981 when it became an independent nation. It became self-governing in 1964 and was the last "possession" of Great Brittan in the new world.

There is a woman working here who grew up there. She remembers marching in the streets with thousands of other people demanding independence, and the great month-long celebration when they got it.

Yes, astrology was important, but you can't underestimate the contributions of the aliens!

Swabbie thats one theory of where the crystal skulls came from..the people from "out there" as the Mayans called them !! I am glad I went to Tulum...instead of to the Mall in Cancun or horseback riding in the surf...i aint one of Custers troopers !!

But why would "well meaning," "inspired," and "advanced" aliens help build temples to facilitate human sacrifices? The whole thing is not very convincing to me. And as Phil likes to say, "they are all day workers in the United States." I guess it's the astrology -- and you've gotta do something until 2012. Hey, why not go work for those backward and uninspired people up north?

Hey, maybe that's why there are so many aliens watching us. They're trying to figure out how they messed up with the Mayans!

Maybe THEY'VE got something to learn, even though it looks like we'll be taking a big slide.

I've always wanted to blame all this on aliens because I hate to think humans have messed everything up so badly without help.

I watched a 2 hour special on the crystal skulls a week or so ago. Only two or three of the 13 actually look like they are "special" but they really are!

The 2012 date does tend to make our collections somewhat valueless. If the Mayan myth is correct and this world ends, I don't think there is any way to leave them to ourselves for when the next world begins.
