i think this needs to be revived a little ...... I have a few things to say and this is a great spot to say them....

in simple terms - thank you -

However this is not enough and I am unable to find a simple one or two word expression for my personal gratitude. I am a man who believes in kindness and expresses it often when I am able but often I am not the recipient of what I constitute as random kindness. living in the North East USA (New England) any one here will tell you its a tough crowd here (at least in my neck of the woods as it were) and more often than not people tend to be a bit reserved. having come here to gain knowledge I have gained so much more.... in having joined this particular community I have gained insight into the way decent (dare I say great) human-beings treat each other. I have been on the receiving end of so much kindness and I attempt often to express the deep seated gratitude I have and yet feel it comes up a bit short of the true emotion... I hope that this assists me in my expression of true thanks....
i will not put your names out unless you say its ok but this is for everyone with special attention to those who have offered to assist me in my journey and have done so in so many many ways.... I know I have not been here long but I dare say I consider you friends and from me that is not a term I use easily or freely....

You certainly have a way with words Mr.Bearwithfish [Oh my, I hope it's not Mrs! ]

But it is a great place to hang out. I have been so tired these last couple of days [from the workload] and I have just sorted stamps and been here at the forum. A nice relaxing time.

Yes Mr. bearwithfish, just a bunch of internet friends here. I have always felt welcome and hope all newbies feel the same spirit. A very good morning, or evening as the case may be, to all.

or Lunchtime!

I'd like to say a big Thankyou too. Where else can I find good humour, intelligent conversation, expert information, and dancing fruit - all in one place?
Group hug!

Well, I need to chime in now. I must agree with all the sentiments expressed. This is a great place to come for knowledge, information and friendship. Despite the 'virtual' environment, this is a warm and inviting place to be and share a great hobby.
I've been unemployed for six months now, and between the searching and interviews, this is the perfect place relax and let my mind wander to more enjoyable pursuits.
Thanks to all of you.
OH there, happy now? I've gone all mooshy! Where are my tongs!

I love it when I do an internet search on a stamp-related item, and one of the first search results is us.

I suspect that the moderators have a bit to do with keeping the tone of the forum the way it is. If not, its nice to think so anyway, if so, then thanks.

I joined this forum for the information gained and a place to share what I can, though it may not be much.

Sad to say but, more of my collecting friends have passed on and here I have found a few that fill the space. Kinda like space fillers, it'll do until something better comes along... Being sarcastic again, not wanting to hurt any one's feelings, just a little humor.

This has now become the only stamp forum I visit or spend any time with.

This is now my favorite place to be online. My children, husband, and house are starting to feel neglected, but I can't help myself. I am addicted to SCF!
