In fact, I think the subject of telegraphic cancels on Nepal has come up here on SCF before. Can't for the life of me remember where/when.

On the subject of 'native' paper, the great Jammu & Kashmir collector, Sir David Masson, gave this description of its manufacture in Jammu & Kashmir, quoted in Frits Staal, The Stamps of Jammu & Kashmir




The process was probably pretty similar in Nepal.
