Not sure if this qualifies as feedback. I have on and off bid on items here at SCF and usually do not win. Yet, I did win one auction and was thrilled to do so, but I obviously must have done something wrong. I have never received any communication off board eventhough I emailed about the items so I could pay for them.
I love it here and would never let something like this run me off from SCF or from bidding again. I am just wondering how the process works.
I figured the seller would contact me, but no, so I did what I thought was right and contacted them to pay. If I win another auction could anyone let me know if there are certain ground rules I may not know about?
Thanks all. |

Usually if the vendor receives the payment, the goods are despatched immediately, sometimes the vendor will email you with postage costs if not explained on the auction page.
Some purchasers just forget to send money, it does happen. :) Send a polite reminder to the vendor.

Sirruspoe, If you've never made a purchase from the seller they typically will have to provide you with either a Paypal email address or some other instruction as to how you should provide payment. I agree that you should send a "reminder" email to the seller and recommend that in the future if you don't hear from the seller within a reasonable amount of time you should email to ask for payment instructions. Thanks all. That was exactly what I did, but got no response. I guess I put that one in the " I lost" auction file. One cannot pay if one cannot get the information. |

I would like to say a Big THANK YOU to all members who have won auction lots or purchased from my sales lists from this Stamp Collection I have been trying to dispose of. I hope you all received your items in good health and are satisfied. Please do not hesitate to contact me should there be any problems. Also, many thanks to those who have looked at the lists and auctions and made comments either on the forum or by email...your comments have been most appreciated. I have more items and will be running a few more auctions shortly. I would also like to thank filipo for giving me the opportunity to obtain some special items he had in his collection. It took a long time to organize but we got there in the end and the material in question is now in my possession. Many thanks. Finally I would like to thank those who have sent me items recently and who have not yet had anything in return. It Is not for lack of trying but because of work and family. I will get around to it in the coming days I can promise you that. So my apologies to Stampgal and SpanishmossFinally, I'd like to say thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread, now nearly 30 pages long. I feel it is very important for our community and also much more logical than a system like ebay ! Thanks to all. Londonbus1 |

I received the NZ first flight cover and booklet from Bas S Warwick as well as a postcard - all welcome additions. Thanks so much. I'm not sure yet how to place the booklet for display, but have created my initial display sheet for the cover. I'll add more to it when I am less busy! |
