Amazing Stamp Forum We Have! Part 2--Feedback

Got the Netherlands stamps from NBSTAMPER today. They will make a welcome addition to my collection, as will the stamps on the envelope. Kudos for taking the time to have the postal clerk put SOTN cancels on them.

What are SOTN cancels?

Also, I would like to thank everyone on this site. I have asked many questions and got the answers I was looking for. I have also gained some knowledge just from reading other posts. This is a great site. And seems to be very friendly even to the newbies like me.

Straight On The Nose, postmarks that are somewhat centered on a stamp.

Sometimes also called SON cancels are centered on the stamp. There is a long thread showing some great examples here.

Just thought I would wake this thread up. We use to get regular feedback here and it is a great way to let members know that packets were received.

That being said I want to thank everyone who participated in my giveaway. It would be great if you give me a shout to let me knowt that they arrived safely to their destination.

Hello Dianne -I was going to message you privately but since you asked... I am still anxiously waiting for my special delivery. You mentioned in a prior post that my packet was sent (by your husband ;-) ) I don't have much experience with the speed of the mail from Canada to the U.S. but I am a little worried. And from the pictures of the envelopes and postage you use (that Rod shared).. I can't wait to just get the envelope let alone what is inside. Crossing my fingers!

I just received my package of miscellaneous stamps. Thanks so much. The ones that I don't need for my collection will be forwarded to my Grand-daughter.

Dianne, The packet of stamps arrived today. I pulled into the driveway and my daughter runs out to meet me yelling THANK YOU! THANK YOU! So...THANK YOU!! It certainly made her a happy little girl.
