JUBILEE !Many thanks for the nice surprise envelope which landed on my desk today [and got lost too....I'll show you how later ]. A nice stockcard of Malaysian and Hungarian Tete-Beche triangles....lovely What really made me feel glad that I am a collector and part of this community was not so much the items enclosed but the short letter JUBILEE wrote which included the meaningful sentence: "A small gift just 'cos !" Under the stamp on the envelope was something very new, which I have not previously seen. Israel Post had handstamped in red 'Mail, 24 hour service' [In hebrew of course]. Most unusual and I will scan it later to show. Many thanks Jubilee. Londonbus1 |

Thank you Puzzler for the wonderful stamps I recieved from you today! I have only sifted through the first of 6 bags so far and am more than pleased. It was a pleasure meeting you today in the coffee shop, and nice to know there is a fellow SCF'er close by :) Good times. Hope to meet again sometime for some more great conversation! Thank you for taking the time to meet up ~Ash |

I had mentioned we should have taken pictures of our meeting and the stamps and the coffee shop (Tim's) (similar to your lovely photos of your adventures londonbus). It was amusing (and amazing) to see, the people who came by and were gawking at the bags of stamps laid out and the albums on display and the stamps being examined and enjoyed. We took over two tables in our stamping as it was not too busy at the time we were there. One expands to fill the available space. Good advertising for stamp collecting! |

Great 1925 Scott's Monthly from PHILBY arrived yesterday. Thanks! Many interesting stuff inside, including the Polish Post Office in Danzig Free City . I will have to post some of the stuff on SCF in the near future. Philby, the old Tuvalu stamps add well to my hoard! |
