He obviously is an afficianado,
you ought to contact him and offer him a copy
of your image of the cover :)

He doesn't like he is "motocycling" though
just pedalling :)

I was scanning something else on the same page but thought these might be nice to show... they all have a great sense of motion and speed to them.

Here is one of Motorcycle stamp collectings harder ones to get.
It's a never offically issued Propganda label from 1942.
The bike is a Moto Guzzi single.

Regards
Gavin

As a collector of "Any philatelic material that depicts a motorcycle, or part thereof, or name of manufacturer, recognizable as being of ITALIAN ORIGIN" I am well pleased to have this item which adds the make "DE STEFANI & CONTI" to my collection.

That brings the total number of Italian makes I have represented on postal items to 35.

Regards
Gavin

Another nice one I got from Italy recently.... looks like a specimen meter mark as it has "00" as the postal value and no address....

And an interesting stamp it is!
Thanks for the post.

That bike is called a KTM 125 from Austria...
Their is more to that bikes story.... it is made using "parts" from an Italian GP 125 MV Agusta. To me it looks basically the same as the MV as if they have got an MV and done some small mods and called it a KTM to get their racing up and running fast. With it's Italian connections it comes under my collecting interest and I am after any postally used covers using this stamp.

Hiya people,

I have created a couple of flicker pages to show some of my motorcycle postal items so if anyones interested here are the links.

Some of my collection of "Any philatelic material that depicts a motorcycle, or part thereof, or name of manufacturer, where the make of motorcycle is recognizable as being of ITALIAN ORIGIN."

http://www.flickr.com/photos/593463...28141992497/

And this one is some motorcycle postal items that do not fit my main collection incuding some nice early motorcycle related covers and poster stamps.

I hope posting those links is ok?
Regards
Gavin
