THe Australian Armed Forces, 1940 is a very haunting stamp for some reason. I really like the design.

Aussie Al, if all these are from your collection, you have reason to take pride. The stamps are lovely.

No way, too dear. The stamps were all CTO. When I purchased these from the original old collector, he said the pack sold for £1(?). Over the years Dealers sold the CTO's sseparatelyout of the packs. Many collectors in-fact own stamps originating from these packs.

Hopefully other collectors may know more about all the circumstances with these now scarce packs.

Roos, thank you for that link. I checked it out and there's stamps in the pack that 'do not belong there'. In my opinion someone has filled in the missing stamps to complete the pack.

I paid over $1000 ten years back from the original buyer who has since sadly pass away.
