Aleppo Codex

The Aleppo Codex is a medieval manuscript of the Hebrew Bible. The codex was written in the 10th century AD. It is the earliest known manuscript comprising the full text of the Bible. The Aleppo Codex is now in the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. |

Anton Bernolák (1762-1813)
 Etymológia vocum slavicarum (Etymology of Slovak Words) from 1791, Dissertatio-critica de literis Slavorum (Critical philological debate on Slovak letters), Lexicon slavicum bohemico-latino-germanico-ungaricum (Slovak-Czech-Latin-German-Hungarian Dictionary) issued 1825.
Anton Bernolák a Roman Catholic priest was a prominent representative of the Slovak National Revival at the turn of the 18th and the 19th centuries. He was a linguist and an initiator of cultural and social life in Slovakia. On mini sheet are some of his books. |

Missale Aboense

Missale Aboense is the first book printed for use in Finland. It was printed in Lübeck in 1488 by Bartholomeus Ghotan in latin language. The copies od Missal were printed both on paper and on parchment. A single original parchment copy of Missale has survived and it is now in the national library of Denmark. |

Codex 965

The Codex 965 is manuscript of the late 13th Century. It was written in Vienna and content several theological texts. It has 135 sheets and is now in the Viennese Court Library. The stamp shows stylized author Hugo de Folieto (about 1096-1172). His the most well known writings are De claustro animae (The Cloister of the Soul) and De medicina animae (The Medicine of the Soul), allegorical texts on monastic spirituality. |

It contains 142 pictures and is a great source of information on medieval Hungarian cultural history, costume, and court life in the 14th century. The Chronicle was made for the purposes of representation.
