A stamp from Ireland's 3rd computer-vended series of "native animals and marine life" (2012) depicts the raft spider, or Jesus spider (Dolomedes fimbriatus), so called for its ability to walk on water. This is a large, European species, with the female having a body length of up to .87 inch.

The stamp on the left is from the original printing, which included the black "Eire" and the vertical counting # in the lower right corner. These stamps were used in post office machines. The black coded information was printed by an Epson TM-37500 thermal printer. The code 14104 indicates that this stamp was vended/sold on 104th day of 2014. The postmark, 14.4.14 shows that it was used on that day. The vertical counting # shows that was the 279th stamp on the roll of 600. The 14-digit number identifies the individual machine and location, or post office.

The stamp on the right is a reprint. These were made for use in Wincor Nixdorf postal kiosks, as found in malls and airports. They were printed without the vertical counting numbers. The printers in these machines appear to be not as sophisticated as the printers in the post office machines, as the code information is always light and blurry. There is a date code, and this one is F313, meaning the stamp was vended on the 313th day of 2013, or November 9, 2013. The code "A" is for 2008, "B" for 2009, and so on.
