I was just checking the sign in one of the photos. The telephone number starts 0181 which shows it age as pre 2000 |

I can pass by there on Friday so will let you know if I can see anything. I'll aim for 08:00 latest if I can't see anything mentioned.
Edit - A couple of google searches mention 08:30 opening. |

Hi guys,
I am jealous of your trip to my favourite haunt. Have a great day and take a pic or two of the 'album guy'.
It starts at 8.00am but there are sellers there at 7.30 so have an early night Friday !
Let us know the full story.

LB1 - I met with Drew and his colleague just after 8am this morning. It was really good to meet up again but unfortunately 'Album guy' didn't appear to have much in the way of new stock. I still managed to find a few nice approval books with mainly France material. Scans to follow if interested. Not as many stalls there today so looking forward to the next one. |

Great to see you Anthony!
It was my friends first time and he thoroughly enjoyed it. We are thinking of making it a once a month visit. I managed to pick up a R350.00 Cat Value stamp for 5p! All in all a good day.

Along with the early France items I picked up an accumulation of 'Blue Fleas' to sort for varieties. I saw some imperfs and colour varieties. The most notable item is probably this France #2 It has this expertisation mark There are loads of nice items to fill gaps Nice cancel Link to Flickr - http://www.flickr.com/photos/smouty/ |

Good find Drew. Lets see a pic I was speaking to 'album guy' and he is amongst other things an author - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_BenedictusA very interesting man. Any thoughts on that #2 or start a new thread? It does have a crease but is not so bad. There are two varieties listed in SG which are bluish green or deep green. One is 2.5 times the cat. of the other but the lower value is still £600. Expertisation mark I think is from Dejan Tubinovic - http://www.filatelia.fi/experts/namess.html#t |

Quote: I was speaking to 'album guy' and he is amongst other things an author Wow ! That is amazing. Who would have thought it ? He was always dressed so shabbily but now I remember that he was always talking about Horse Racing. I'll get back on the French and South African finds, great stuff. Londonbus1 |
