This ad was taken from the Library of Congress web site. Does anyone have an example of what the stamps looked like that were part of this campaign? I believe this is dated to the late 1930's since the artwork loosely resembles the NY World's Fair from 1939-1940:

Living in Nassau County, The county right next to Queens, where the Worlds Fair was held. I can confirm your guess on the date. I have even seen that exact window display card. I have a few but haven't a clue where to even begin to look. So, Some help but not much.

Interesting. So it seems they were basically an advertising medium to encourage World's Fair visitors to come to Nassau County for the hotels, the beaches, etc.

Fishing, Nassau County is in the middle of Long Island, NY. So it has some of the best Sport Fishing in the North Eastern US.
