Yeah its supposed to be self adhesive. I bought it in an ebay auction and the guy who had these seems to have cut the envelope in the shape of the stamp. (which he has not done to perfection )
That's the "Dromedaris", the pedants argue the stamp is an error, as it shows the sun rising on the bow as it arrives. It should have been astern. (pedants have no regard for artistic licence)
Hi Marius, There are various printings of that South Africa Stamp. I'll try and find a few for comparison if you are interested. Here are a few of mine favourites.
