While putting together Zuzu's Polish auction win I was looking at this stamp showing Nicolas Copernicus and thought, he must be one of the most portrayed people on stamps. I mean, he's everywhere!




So I did my due diligence, but a search here did not show a topical thread dedicated to him.
I know he's a Polish national treasure. So let's see how many philatelic images of this man, who is the centre of everybody's universe, we can find.

Here is an image of a stamp featuring a portrait of Nicolaus Copernicus, plus an attached label depicting his heliocentric system and a view of Torun, his home town, designed and engraved by Hungarian artist and engraver Mihály Füle (1914-2005), and issued by Hungary on February 19, 1973 to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Copernicus's birth, Scott No. 2218.

I was thinking there was a Copernicus stamp issued by France and I was able to locate this one from 1974:

Here is an image of a semi-postal (charity) stamp depicting an oil painting of Copernicus by Italian-Polish artist Marcello Bacciarelli (1731-1818), designed by Andrzej Heidrich, printed by photogravure, and issued by Poland on September 27, 1973 for Stamp Day and to aid in the reconstruction of the Royal Castle in Warsaw, Scott No. B129.

Albania issued a set of stamps to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the birth of Copernicus. Scott 1481-1486, issued on 2/1/1983.

Bangladesh issued two stamps to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the birth of Copernicus. Scott 61-62, issued 7/22/1974.
