Let's hear it for rotating strikes! The mail lady came today and delivered one of the packages I've been waiting for, a collection of early mint Canadian coils, airmails etc.
Among them what this 1931 2c admiral (re-release of the 1912-25 issue) with interesting 12 X 8 perfs. I found this a weird combination. Can any of you perf experts explain why the odd (I think anyway) mix of perf sizes?
Also, does anyone have a current value on this one? It's mint, lightly hinged. The closest I can come is 2002 prices ($4.50)

In a totally unrelated brain tangent, would a really enthusiastic perforation expert be called a 'perfert'?
