Anthony....any idea how many varieties exist for this definitive-style Flag ? I lost track a bit and need to do some revision.

I don't I'm afraid but I'll put some aside for you if you like.
They sometimes crop up when I'm sorting through Machins.
I have the St Andrews cross one too.

Hope these are better londonbus1, didn't know if you were going to disqualify the flags on cover, but I thought I would throw them up there. If you want, I can remove. - Jeff

There's that double headed eagle again Rod, I think they are so cool. When I register my crest with the college of heralds, I will have a double headed eagle somewhere in it.

I like the second last cover
(actually I like 'em all)

The second last has unusual air mail livery
with the coloured lines at the bottom of the card.
I shall surreptitiously hijack this scan
when you are not looking.

The latest US (Forever) Flag Stamp:

(I also posted this on another thread, as there are at least three varieties (already) of this particular coil at perfs. 8.5, 9.5 and 11.0.)

Thanks Anthony. I will try to make a list of the different varieties of both of these Flag stamps.

Great covers Jeff !
I do not collect tiny flags on stamps but I know some who do !
I did not collect covers either for a long time but they started to attract. So I decided that I would add some to the collection if there were two of three [Cachets,Cancels, stamps] on the cover depicting a flag or flags...but again, not miniscule.
But then, as fate would have it, my decision got a bit twisted and I started to add a few covers with only the stamp...or cancel...or envelope design.....
You see, once you start, you can't stop.
Of the covers you showed, The Masaryk and Overrun Nation covers would definitely find a place...maybe one or two others also !

Londonbus1...or maybe three, or four......or
