Does a flag have to represent a country?
Is a pennant a flag?

A pennant Is a flag but I would suppose that collectors would make their own personal choices regarding this matter.

Just in on today's mail, note no country name but an *AL*. From Poland, postmark from WIENOWICE dated February 14, 2011 at (I am guessing) 13:00 hours or 1:00 PM.

Polish flags flying over buildings in foreign parts that are representing Poland.
1999 Fawley Court, Museum of the priests of Maria order, not sure where this is. (Name sounds English)
1999 General Sikorski Polish Institute and Museum in London, England.
(Info from Poland Post online catalogue at http://www.poczta-polska.pl/znaczki/en/histzn.php )

Great stamps,sheets and covers everyone.
Rod, I collect also the Flags of different organizations, not only country flags. But there are just too many. I will never win !

Puzzler, very interesting Polish stamps. They are two of a set of 4 showing Polish Institutions. The Fawley Court stamp brings with it a very special story.

The Polish Institute in London has a superb Restaurant on the ground floor. I ate there once with some Israel friends of Polish decent and it was superb. I had Roast Duck with Buckwheat !

Keep'em coming everyone. I'll post a few tomorrow

I think every time you sit down to
enjoy your collection you win Lb,
Just enjoy the journey, forget about the destination,
as that is the end.
