Flags On Stamps.......new Additions !

Here are images of two stamps depicting the flag of the short-lived Khmer Republic (1970–1975) and the "Square of the Republic" in Phnom Penh, designed by Cambodian artist Duk Sokhon, engraved by Pierre Gandon, and issued by Cambodia on October 9, 1971, Scott Nos. 264 & 265.

Here is an image of a stamp depicting the flag of Hilal-i-Isteqlal (Flag of Valor) awarded to the cities of Lahore, Sialkot and Sargodha for bravery and fortitude during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965, printed by lithography, and issued by Pakistan on May 15, 1967, Scott No. 238.

Flag of Nauru

Flags of the USA, USSR, Great Britain and Romania, printed by photogravure, and issued as one of a set of four stamps commemorating the signing of the peace treaty of February 10, 1947 between Romania (which had been allied with Nazi Germany during World War II) and the Allied and Associated Powers, Scott No. 644.

The Marshall Plan was the American program to aid Europe in which the United States gave monetary support to help rebuild shattered European economies after the end of World War II. Here is an image of a stamp featuring the U.S. flag, a portrait of U.S. Secretary of State George C. Marshall, who was awarded the 1953 Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of his post-war work, and a reconstruction scene, printed by lithography, and issued by Germany on June 9, 1997 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Marshall Plan, Scott No. 1970.
