I got this page in an old album, and need advice is possible that some of these stamps could be of special interest to someone?

I consult the Scott catalog, and seems that all of them are more or less usual, but if someone is more familiar with this country, could advice me if I am correct in my opinion.

It is a nice little collection. I am afraid I am utterly ignorant when it comes to Australian States.

I'm with smauggie...I'm not an expert, either. But there are perf varieties, die varieties and plate retouches that add interest and, in some cases, a little extra catalogue value.

Postmark fanciers would also compare the marks to the rarity listings to see if there is anything out of the ordinary.

That's probably a few hours of fun...maybe more...

The 2S and 5S stamps are interesting. I'm curious what they're worth?

Thanks for the replies, Smauggie and Cjd!

Rileysan, they have a nice catalog value (as much as I can determinate with my very amateur senses in detecting an issue), but they are not in nice condition at all.

I recently acquired a massive collection of Australian states in a large lot I purchased (and paid a pretty penny for lol). It appears from looking at it that there are several factors determining the value of stamps from the states - most notably watermarks. It would be very difficult to tell without going into much more detail.

If anyone knows anyone specializing in the states, let me know as well. I would be inclined to trade for Canada at some point or to possibly sell. (Although at the rate I'm going, the 50 post thingy will take forever lol).
