I understand the point. Just the same on the opposite end I would say it is wise to start your inventory as early as possible. So that building your inventory is a process that is spread out over the years. When after 5 or 10 years of collecting you would decide to start building an inventory the sheer amount of work of inputting thousands of stamps in one go might make you not want to do it.
