rod222, I've only seen datestamps with this font on Tasmanian stamps before. From what you write, the best construction would be TATURA, with the Y being an illusion - just ink mess. I have been able to confirm that by visiting the PPA website, which has an image of the complete cancel: https://www.premierpostal.com/myima..._6102896.jpg |

I see. nicely solved, the scraps of other ink would suggest you are correct (the apparent date line suggests TATURA is centred at the top of the CDS) otherwise, I would have said Tatura East.

Location in Australia that includes the following letters: 'GOPLA'
The next letter looks like an I, so it's probably 'GOPLAI'
Is there a location called '----GOPLAIN' perhaps?
Please help! I'm desperate! |

Thanks, 22crows, that would have to be it!
Another difficult one I've been staring at over and over again: the visible letters are OLONGO(LAH?)
Can you help here as well?

Here's another one, it's perhaps up rod222's alley as it's one from WA. I've just found a cancel that reads 'S. P. MIDLAND JUNCTION/WA/MY 13 7' What would the S. P. stand for? It's not apparently listed in the PPA database and I can't find anything about it online. Scanner playing up, so just a b&w pic for now. |

..or maybe "Sub Branch"
I know Midland well, It is a fairly large outer City hub, from the surronding farming areas and Northern Wheatbelt A Sub Branch is certainly feasible.

Let's wait for a scan, but Midland SP is not listed amongst the 60 or so cancellers.
