Binders For Custom Stamp Pages

What kind of binders do people use for custom stamp pages?

Depending on the size of your pages, you can use standard 3-ring binders (easiest to punch holes in the pages) OR you can go with a "springback" binder for extra wide pages. The springback binders do not require holes punched in oder to hold them

I need 3 ring binders. I guess I am looking for something that looks a little fancy.

If you are going to do 3 ring binders, from painful experience, I would suggest two things.
Firstly the Rings should be mounted to the back, not the spine (alleviates issues when opening/closing) (Pages in page protectors, can often extend out the edge of the binder when closed as an example.)
Secondly, get a D ring binder.

In that case, I recommend the Lighthouse 3 ring binders. They come in all sorts of colors and sizes.

Those are really nice binders. I use them for my cover collection with 2 pocket per page Vario pages.
Where I ran into problems with them was the example above with my custom album pages in proctector sleeves. The dumb pages stick out the side by 1/3 inch or so when closed .

They are very reasonably priced given they have a slipcase included.

Lighthouse makes oversized binders, but I've never tried them. That, and they're quite expensive. This is why I suggested the "Springback" binders. They are reasonably priced, work with any type of Lighthouse, Schaubek, kabe, or custom pages, and are very well made.

Edit: I just realized this is for a 4 ring binder, but I'm certain they make a 3-ring version.

The Vario 3 ring binders are actually cheaper directly from www.lighthouse.us. Those are some nice looking binders.

I'm not seeing what you're seeing. The link I provided was 2 for $34.95 (roughly $17.50ea +shipping) plus a package of (5) Vario stocksheets. Lighthouse.us is $30.95 per binder.

Oh, my bad. This was for TWO binders. Man I am dense sometimes!

Has anyone used binders from Bindertek? These things look seriously high quality and have slip cases available.

I ordered Bindertek's catalog. Some VERY nice products. I may be going with some binders from them.

I also saw a nice offer on ebay for some padded brown binders from Canada - Miller Lake Trading Co. Reasonable product price, but the shipping cost is high: $20

BTW, does anyone know what the big deal is about having a padded binder versus one that isn't padded?

What's the big advantage to having the rings mounted to the back cover instead of the spine?

When you close a binder where the rings are on the spine, everything shifts over as you close it. In some cases (in my case putting sheets in page protectors) they ended up sticking out of the binder by a quarter inch or so. with them mounted on the back, nothing moves when you close the binder.

That makes sense. I'm thinking of ordering the Bindertek binder with slipcase today and see how they look.
