I don't have a catalogue handy, so am guessing. The second stamp looks like Bavaria based on the currency, 40 Heller. There were only a handful of regions that continued using the term Heller after German unification, including Bavaria.

oh well, I tried!

The bottom one says Fverstentum Leichtenstein. Can't find it in my Scott's Perhaps a local post?

I stand corrected. Perhaps Leichtenstein SC#38 from 1920? There's no picture of this denomination, but the colour is listed as claret.

The first stamp is listed in SG under Austro-Hungarian Post Offices in the Turkish Empire, SG38 (1890).

The second stamp is from Liechtenstein, SG34 (1920).

In looking the second stamp up I stumbled on this interesting website

http://www.oocities.org/siliconvall...stampsf.html

Unfortunately it seems to be outdated, and I can't navigate to any other pages/letters.

OK, I found if you replace the letter 'f' in the address with the letter of your choice, it will take you to that list.
An interesting resource, no?
