LOTS of nice Esperanto cinderellas in this thread! Here's a weird-looking one that I haven't seen here yet, advertising the 4th Celebration of the Catalonian Esperantist Eyeglass-Wearers, Girona, 1921. Unfortunately, I don't actually have one of these in my collection.

Esperanto learning was very popular among modern minded Catalans of early XXth century. Now, most of us have turned to English. I consider it, my second Language after Catalan, my mother and relationship tonge.

Two sheets of 12 cinderelas, just issued by the Catalan pro-independence party, Estat Català. They're presented on a folder with the title "República Catalana", with explanation (in Catalan) of every cinderella. They show the latest events of the Catalan Independence Fight, as well as some of the political prisoners and exilied.

The price, 10 €, goes to help to pay for the heavy penalties imposed by the "democràtic" Spanish regime to the pro-independence Catalan politians.
On the headings, you can read: "Catalonia will be, what Catalans want", by our contemporary poet Miquel Martí I Pol, and "Catalans learn to behave, so you deserve Catalonia", by President Francesc Macià (1859-1933).

Yes, the world has to know about the brutal represion of a peaceful political movement on the hearth of the "Democratic Europe". European Union leaders know and support this breaching of democracy by a EU membre state.

I'm sorry. I've no idea of how these cinderellas can be obtained outside Catalonia. I got mine through a good friend, who's also a very good cinderella collector and Student.

Today I was lucky enough to find some very interesting cinderellas (and for a very good price). Among them, there were these ones.

They were issued around 1930 by the society "Iberia Carto-filatèlica de España y America", of Barcelona. The sponsor was the stamp trader and journalist Enric Puigferrat Queralt, who had an stamp shop at Barcelona's Jaume I street, up to the early 80's. He was, actually my first "philately teacher", back in 1974.

The cinderellas show Barcelona's cathedral on whose front stairs they hold our Xmas Fair, that we call "Fira de Santa Llúcia" (St. Lucy's Fair).

On the forthcoming days, I'll be posting the other cinderellas that I got today.

With this 1934 cincerella, issued to advertise the June Feast of the very old city of Tarragona, I wish our SCF friends a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year 2018.

Today's Boxing Day, also known (in Catholic countries) as Saint Stephen's Day, and in Catalonia (like in most of Europe except for Spain) is a big holiday, just second to Xmas. To celebrate, I'm showing some cinderellas that I also got last Sunday.
They were isued, around 1910, as a souvenir of the Montserrat Mountain, considered holy by the Catalans and where there's a monastery build around the shrine of Our Lady of Montserrat, patroness of Catalonia.
The cinderellas, show the characteristic shape of the mountain, that gives it its name (Montserrat = Sawed mountain), and lies on the center of our country.

Another cinderella issued by the "Iberia Carto-filatelica" around 1930. It shows the Sagrada Familia Basilica, as it looked by then. I also have it in blue.

Sabadell, is a Catalan industrial town, about 30 km from Barcelona. This cinderella, issued around 1970, advertises the quality of its products.
