There was an interesting thread going yesterday with this topic linked to a Canadian Royal Tour Cover from Saskatoon. I knew that somewhere I had a set of Cinderella issues or poster stamps on roughly the same topic but they took a bit of finding.

Since I knew virtually nothing about them, they were in the "to deal with later" department, but perhaps someone can identify origin at least for me. I do know they were salvaged from a collection that was U.S. in origin but I don't know where they were printed or even if this is a complete set. Seems to be Royal family history at least as far back as Victoria.

Do you (or the budgie) know anything about them? How many are there? Where were they produced? Any info at all?

Sometimes my database throws up things I don't recall having

looks like Harrison and sons circa 1937

I had to cut the sheet image in half to fit here

backroads,

There exists two sheets of similar design, one issued by Parkshaw [Like your examples] and one by Vallencey.
Both were printed by Harrison's in sheets of 60, the Parkshaw with Brown bordered stamps and the Vallencey with Violet.
They were issued in Envelopes with frontal inscriptions and the sheets were folded into quarters. Whole sheets in good condition are hard to find due to perf splitting. Over 200,000 sheets of the Parkshaw issue were printed. Some sheets were split up and an example label was placed on the Presentation envelope.
They sold for 1/- I believe.

For some reason, I am not a fan of this design. Maybe because of the dull, dour colours or the difference of shades between the labels, it somehow does not appeal. [Although I do have a set! ]

That answers my question beautifully and thank you. Went back and counted - I am shy by four from having the complete set. That's typical!

The Harrison's sheet exists printed from two plates; the one illustrated here is plate 1. They can be told apart as the Plate 2 sheets have a small number '2' at the bottom right of the margin - to the right of the Harrison's information. Chris Wren

I have these sheets in their presentation envelopes (somewhere). Will post a scan when (and if) I find them.

I have recently picked up a set and they had the envelope with them. Thanks to others who have already done the research.

Those really are quite impressive as a souvenir when you find them as a complete set, in sheets, in the original envelope.

I wonder if the collecting of these "Poster Stamps" has been replaced simply by the huge quantity of thematics produced by both legitimate countries and the more dubious entities? I can't recall much like this this set showing up as modern souvenirs.

Beat me to it with the sheets there.

Here are some different Coronation sheets. There were six to the set, but sadly I only have four.
