Doesn't matter what country, but let's see postage using other than "whole" amounts? How about 1 & 7/10 cents?

Block of four ¼ Anna stamps from Bamra State in India, complete with typos on three stamps. They aren't hard to pick:

[SG 8, 8a, 8b and 8c: 1890 ¼ Anna on rose-lilac paper, capital 'P' in 'Postage']

I suppose ½ is much more common
than 7/10ths or 1/10ths but that's all I have for now.

Not a postage stamp, but a US revenue stamp, nevertheless this issue has always intrigued me because of the low value denominations of 1/8th cent and 1/4 cent. It seems to me it was hardly worth printing the stamps for that minimal value, yet they did:

As to the second stamp, with the preprinted company name "Emerson Drug Co., I did find this link with information as to the types of stamps they used for their product BROMO SELTZER!

Bhopal State: the 1935-6 surcharges:

'3 Pies' is '¼ Anna' - but the printers had run out of ¼s, and had to resort to spelling it out, rather than using figures.

And Bahawalpur:

Jaipur: the chariot of the Sun God, Surya

And from Travancore, before Rod222 jumps in with the same thing:

¼ of a Travancore Chuckram was equivalent to around a tenth of a US cent ...

Getting back to US Postal Stationery, I'll submit this one (U568). Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this to be the last fractional embossed envelope issued by the US Postal Service. All subsequent "fractional" denominations were converted to "decimal" denominations from that point forward.

BeeSee, actually it doesn't look genuine when I compare it to other examples on the net.

It's either a forgery or possibly a stationary imprint.
Note the writing on the back.
