Stampfan9:
That booklet of Navy labels is really a nice piece of collateral material. I had not seen anything like it before, but will be on watch for one or from other services for my WW II collection. Wonder if they were available for the Coast Guard and Merchant Marine too?

Don, I forgot as I should not have about the Coast Guard and Merchant Marines because an uncle of mine (Cajun shrimper) served in the Coast Guard auxiliary in the Gulf of Mexico waters during the war as an enemy warship/submarine spotter

And there is the fascination of the evil ... Anybody ever looked at seller jayc in ebay? Just nazi, fascist and similar things. Some of them even real stamps, but most just replicas or cinderellas. |

Heinz55 I couldn't find any stamps being sold by jayc on ebay, fascist or otherwise. Mostly baseball cards and superhero stuff when I looked -- nothing sinister, in my opinion. Don |

Turns out the one in the post a little ways up, that reads 'Britain Delivers the Goods' in the circle over the Union Jack, was actually created in Jamaica, according to a recent issue of Gibbons Stamp Monthly. |

Tied label for the Mothers of World War No. 2., a national organization of women who organized to support their sons in service. They were active in civic, defense and war activities. There were at least 13 units in Indiana including this one in Elkhart. |

thanks to all for posting the photos of the WWII cinderellas.....I would collect them if I could find some, some of these are really great! I have a weakness for all things WWII era military related. I have a few letters/covers from then but far as I know no cindys. |
