I don't actively hunt for Canada back of book but this one caught my eye. I didn't even notice the cancel when I purchased it but after closer look what a clear Commercial Bank of Canada May 2nd 1867. Looked them up on google and apparently the bank was in serious finacial trouble in the time frame. Not sure when dispanded or IF CIBC "Canadian Imperial Bank of Canada " absorbed them as they were opened May 15th 1867. I've had coins with Bank of Upper Canada, bank of Montreal ,new brunswick PEI and so on but never heard of the Commercial Bank Of Canada .
If anyone has more info than a quick google search provided I'd appreciate it.
