New Zealand recently released a 3D stamp commemorating the Rugby World Cup. ($15 NZD!)

Just thought I'd share it. Apparently the technology is called Motionstamp 3D HDR. More of such stamps seen in the link below.

Might be far from the purists' view of stamps but technology wise, pretty cool

But NZ$15!??!

It's like USPS using space/military topicals for the priority/express mail stamps. They aren't shooting themselves in the foot. They are shooting mint stamp collectors in the foot.

After reviewing the link, the stamps remind me of the newspapers in the Harry Potter movie series. Interesting and weird at the same time.
