I hesitate to read Linn's "50 years ago.." feature for fear of remembering reading the original article.

Hello everyone. I am 43 and just decided to take up collecting again. Like many here I collected as a child but gave it up in my early teens. I am busy with kids and earning a living, but wanted to give collecting a go again. It is really nice to be able to afford nicer stamps than I could on a dishwasher's salary 25-30 years ago!

I am putting some bids in on ebay on fine-very fine early US commemoratives like the Columbians, Trans-Mississippi and Pan American issues.

Jeff

Jeff,

Glad to have you on board. Even better, to hear that your back into collecting. A great bunch here on SCF and if you need an answer or two, give a yell, someone will be glad to help.

I'm more worried about NOT remembering! It's not a good sign when supposedly "familiar" things start turning into something new.

I'm the one who got the entomology of "philately" reversed!

What a wonderfully humourous thread !

We have a 19thcenturyguy who's only 30 and now a newly-retired who has just taken up collecting again, and yet is Grumpy !

...and then we have Rileysan who can work out intricate Mathematics but cannot work out that 9+7 = 15.

I just don't know anymore.......
