Yes, it is... When I compare stamps color, I always scan 2 or more stamps at the same time. You cannot compare with 2 different picture or scan.

Hi, I think you have two different stamps here:

1909 General Revenue 10 sen vermilion on pale blue (Barefoot 40)

1915 General Revenue 10 sen red on pale blue (Barefoot 55)

However, I'm not sure which is which. Derpite Rod's comment, I would go for Rod's one as vermilion and Collin's as red. When I see the word vermilion I always think of the British QV Jubilee ˝d vermilion.

I suspect the 1915 series may not be in Forbin as I believe that was the last issue date of the catalogue.

Wow! I may have learnt two things here,
however, why do I think vermilion to be
a deeper scarlet red

I'll have to chase up the QV Jubilee vermilion
and flag it as an example.

As usual, Nigel is correct
(and I have been spelling it incorrectly )
I typed in vermilion across my database
and orangy red looks like the majority,
the colour chip and the machin look deeper
but maybe die to the "solid" colour

Haven't gotten a response to my topic - trying this one to get an answer hopefully.
