Looking forward to seeing your stamps. My first posts were great lessons in how to scan and upload and use the system here. Took me a few weeks to learn. Hopefully you learn faster than I did. Don't hesitate to ask questions. |

You have to do your own scanning, there's no availability to scan on this site. Do you have a scanner or access to one? We will advise you on uploading once your have some scans to show us.
By pricing, do you mean catalogue valuations? Do you have access to stamp catalogues covering the country(ies) of the stamps that you have in your collection? |

Hello max, welcome!
You need a scanner or a camera. The scanner gives you the best result for stamps. Scan at 200 pixels per inch (PPI) or even up to 600 PPI for single stamps.
When you have a file in JPG format on your computer there are instructions on how to upload on the left side of the screen upper called Uploading Photos.
Or, click the Reply to Topic link on the upper screen right and a new message editing window will open that has links for uploading photos and also a nice file resizing program to reduce your files to a smaller size and still maintain the image quality (mostly) as the forum has a limit of 100kb file size.
Once you have a photo or scan you can also crop it, that is remove the extra unneeded areas around the stamp. This also reduces the file size somewhat.
Try to remember those of us (me !) who do not have a fast connection to the internet.
You can also use a file / picture hosting site such as Flickr or photobucket or others to host your pictures and then you can have a larger file size and just put the link here or however that is done.
Search on Stamp Community (Search button in top row of buttons) for uplaoding or tutorials or other similar words as some members have posted good ideas on this subject already.
Good luck, ask for help if you can't get it, and enjoy. |

Hi Maxood,
Once you have been a member for a while, you will have access to the part of this forum where we engage in sale/purchase/trade of stamps.
Until then, feel free to post pictures and talk about your stamps, ask questions and take some time to become a part of the community here.

Quote: What is main aim of this website? Can we buy or sell stamps on this website? To read the rules of this site please click the last button on the right along the top of your screen. You have to have a certain number of posts and a certain time period pass before some things are available to you. To use the email system 50 posts, for example. If you do wish to buy opr sell or trade please make sure you read and understand the rules for those activities also. The main purpose of this site seems to be the exchange of information and pictures about stamps with other stamp collectors in a friendly manner. If you have a lot of stuff to sell immediately I suggest ebay or delcampe or bidstart just to name a few auction sites worldwide. I have heard that some use Facebook to sell with also but I am not sure. What do you collect? One country or theme or worldwide stamps or a mixture? |

Hello maxood,
Please read the rules (button top right side) as the rules have changed since you were visiting here last time.
To sell, if that is your wish, you must have a certain number of postings on the general site.
You may, of course, post pictures of your stamps on this thread or topic, or start anothe rtopic in an appropriate category, and title it so as to attract interest and comments and perhaps other help or even commplimentary pictures.
