Cuscus is the common name for the species within the four genera of Australasian possum. Here are images of the two stamps in a set depicting members of this genera, printed by photogravure, and issued by Indonesia on March 22, 1996, Scott Nos. 1640 & 1641, plus photos.

Hi, nethryk and everybody else!

Can you please contribute information about which species of MACROPODS (kangaroos, wallabies, tree-kangaroos, pademelons, quokkas, and several others) have not been featured yet on any stamp, from any country?
See the species here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macropodidae

Also, I'd like to see/compile a list of those species that are featured, and from what country/year, if possible.

So my question is NOT about philatelic varieties (color, perforations, etc.) of the same classic stamps with macropods.
The question is taxonomical, about the various species of these animals.

I intend to design some personalized stamps with (some) of those missing species from the world of stamps...

What wallaby species is this? I'll have to re-visit my album offline.

DC3 - Sorry, I am unaware of any lists of subjects NOT depicted on postage stamps.

The African linsang (Poiana richardsonii), or oyan, is a catlike mammal that belongs to the civet family. Here is an image of a stamp depicting an African linsang, printed by photogravure, and issued for use in Fernando Po(o) on November 23, 1967 for Stamp Day, Scott No. 248.

Here are images of the four stamps in a set depicting Siberian flying squirrels (Pteromys volans), printed by lithography, and issued by Estonia on June 7, 1994 as World Wildlife Fund stamps, Scott Nos. 270-73. Note: This is the only species of flying squirrel found in Europe.

Well, I am aware of such lists. :)
For example, somebody had a list of subjects never depicted on any stamp, yet.
One example was "lawnmower on stamp", which has materialized since, on an Australian stamp.

If I make a list of macropod species on stamps, I can immediately make then (by subtraction from the taxonomic species list) a list of macropods "not yet" on stamps, which is a list of possible future designs on personalized stamps, for me.

Your world-class postings, nethryk, are not in vain; I'm sure they are savored around the world...at least in small circles of philatelists.
